Rosemary Gifford

Born in Limavady in 1950 Rosemary Gifford started to paint in2001. Early influences came from Basil Blackshaw before looking towards the Scottish Colourists and the Late Joan Eardley. Today Rosemary finds inspiration in the modern works of Louise Balaam and Janette Kerr. Today a member of both the Arts Society Ulster and the Ulster Society of Women Artists her work is instantly recognisable for its loose style and tonal work. Rosemary has exhibited with the Royal Ulster Academy, Arts Society Ulster, Ulster Society Women Artists as well as being an invited artist at RUA Charity Exhibitions, and Art of Caring Exhibitions. Work is now with private collectors here at home as well as in America, Canada, Spain and France. Today Rosemary is a regular exhibitor with the Eakin Gallery and in 2013  had her first Solo Exhibition The Gentle Touch.
