Marion McConaghie

Marion McConaghie grew up near the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland. She left as a teenager to study fine art in England, gaining a first class honours degree at Brighton Uni in 1995. After living in England for many years she returned back home over a year ago, and creates her abstract seascape and landscape paintings inspired by the rugged and wild geology of the north coast. She uses naturally occurring colours and tones, with heavy horizontal textures, which suggest misty waters and hidden lands.
