Gillian Lonsdale
Born in Banbridge, now living in Lisburn, Gillian Lonsdale’s training in Art & Design began at Rupert Stanley College, Belfast, and then at the Art Faculty of the University of Ulster where she gained a degree.
Upon graduating she immediately began working in a creative and artistic environment as a graphic designer in one of Northern Irelands leading design agencies. She worked there for 12 years.
Now Gillian works from her studio in her home as a full-time artist and has exhibited in several galleries.
An emerging and innovative artist, Gillian, uses oil as her primary medium. Her paintings are characterised by an energetic brushstroke depicting contrasting colours and textures.
