For as long as I could hold a pencil I was drawing everything I saw around me. Summers spent staying in my granny’s house as a child at the foot of the Mountains of Mourne allowed my siblings and I to embark on many adventures. After climbing these iconic mountains our reward on reaching the top was the views of the magnificent Irish Sea. This has undoubtedly influenced my work. Throughout school my Art teacher was so encouraging and complimentary of my talent and said she could imagine me painting portraits on the banks of the Seine in Paris in the future. It was her belief in me that led me to complete my B.Ed (Hons) in Art & Design in 2000. Alongside my busy career as an Art teacher I have remained determined to continue my own love of painting holding 5 solo exhibitions of my work to date.
