Colin Campbell

Born 1961 Co Down N Ireland.

Studied Art and Design at Manchesters Cavendish School of Art and Design under the tutelage of acclaimed artist Barry White.

He then went on to achieve a bachelor degree with honours in Architectural Interior and three dimensional design.

Colin has retained a passion for art through all the years with a love for loose and expressive art.

Painting in both oils and acrylic Colin strives through his work to evoke colour movement and emotion using both bold colour and active brush work and layering to create pieces of depth and substance.

Working from his sea side Studio in Bangor co down water and light play as a continual source of inspiration along side the energy from the ever changing movement of the sea and changing weather.

Influences include Cezanne, De Kooneing, John Lavery, Frank McKelvey, Brian Ballard, Martin Mooney.

Work held in various private collections including Chicago, Montana, Carmel, Howth, Dalkey, Dublin and other private collections in UK alongside commissioned pieces in the Galgorm Resort and Spa Hotel Ballymena and the Europa Hotel Belfast. Colin was the lead interior designer for both of these projects and was actively involved in many other UK based commercial and residential projects of acclaim and worth with an emphasis on design and detail.
